This park is easy to find. The sites are level and it was easy to park the motorhome. The park is on level ground. The guided tour to the reserve include a walk along the base of a cliff with lots of panels of drawings. Seating areas were provided and there was lots of time for everyone to see and photograph the drawings. The guide was very knowledgeable and answered everyone’s questions. The campground had a camp store and a shower building with hot showers and flush toilets. There were also pit toilets in the campground. Campsites offered no service or power. No sites with water or sewer. There is a river for tubing, swimming and canoeing with a large sandy beach close to the campground. Lots of shade trees. The hiking trail through the hoodoos was fairly easy if you took your time which we did.

There is so much to learn from this place historically and archeologically. It has been an important place to the first nations people for centuries. The campground is wonderful and it's a nice float down the river. There is even a sandy beach.

Really really cool hidden gem. Loads of places to go on quick hikes and explore the hoodoos. Can't wait to go in the warmer months.

Amazing. We are so lucky we live only a few hours away... The hikes have guided brochures so make sure you grab one!

Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park is full of intrigue and wonderment for all ages. The moving shadows created by the rising and setting sun over the rock formations are a constant source of visual delight. Great place to spend a few hours or more!
